Πριν μερικές ημέρες το facebook άλλαξε το design της σελίδας Προφίλ. Νομίζω ότι είναι πολύ καλύτερο από το προηγούμενο και τα twitter / tumblr χαρακτηριστικά το καθιστούν ακόμη πιο χρήσιμο.
Ένα από τα νέα χαρακτηριστικά είναι το photostream που μπορείτε να δείτε στην κεφαλίδα της σελίδας σας, αμέσως μετά το όνομά και τις βασικές πληροφορίες. Δημιουργείται αυτόματα επιλέγοντας εικόνες από το φάκελο “εικόνες προφίλ” και την ενότητα “Φωτογραφίες και βίντεο από εσάς”, ενώ μπορείτε να επεξεργαστείτε τo ποιες εικόνες θα είναι στη σελίδα σας.
Αναρωτήθηκα αν θα μπορούσα να αλλάξω τη σειρά τους, και τελικά γίνεται, τουλάχιστον γι’αυτές από το “εικόνες προφίλ”. Αυτό μου έδωσε μια ιδέα. Να σχεδιάσω ένα custom header για το προφίλ μου Facebook. Μπορείτε να το δείτε στην παραπάνω εικόνα ή στη σελίδα μου στο facebook.
Δοκιμάστε το: Σχεδιάστε αυτό που θέλετε σε ένα αρχείο 485×68 pixels (72dpi, RGB). Κόψτε το σε πέντε μικρότερες εικόνες (97×68 pixels). Κάντε export σε jpg και ανεβάστε τα στο “εικόνες προφίλ” στο facebook. Μπορείτε να τους αλλάξετε τη σειρά μετά το upload. Από το “Edit picture” πατήστε το “Reset Photostream”. Επιστρέψτε στη σελίδα σας για να κρύψετε τις εικόνες που δεν θέλετε στο photstream σας μέχρι να δείτε τo νέο design σας.

Some days ago facebook released its new profile page layout. I think it’s far better than the previous one and the twitter/tumblr features makes it even more useful.
One of the new features is the photostream that you can see on the header of your page, right after your name and info details. It’s automatically generated from “Profile pictures” and the “Photos and videos of you” section, and you can edit which pictures will be on your page.
I wondered if I could change the order of them, and you can really do it at least for the “Profile pictures”. That gave me an idea. To design a custom header for my facebook profile. You can see it on the picture above or live on my facebook profile.
Try it yourself: Design anything on a file 485×68 pixels (72dpi, RGB). Cut it in five pieces (97×68 pixels). Export them as .jpg files and upload them to your facebook’s “Profile pictures”. You can rearrange them after the upload. On the “Edit picture” page click the “Reset Photostream” buttom. Return to your page and hide the images on your photstream untill you see your designs.
